Floyd Australia can provide either an in-house Test Report or a NATA Certificate of Calibration.
Calibration TEST REPORT is suitable when calibration is performed on equipment that is used for indication purposes only and does not require the reporting of the uncertainty of measurement. The reference Test Gauge would have been certified by a NATA accredited Laboratory within the past 12 months and be 4x more accurate than the gauge being evaluated. The Test Report will make reference to the Test Gauge’s calibration certificate.
Full NATA CERTIFICATION is when a gauge is certified by a NATA accredited laboratory. All uncertainties of the measurements performed are reported within the NATA calibration report. Instruments should be certified by a NATA accredited laboratory if they are going to be used as references for any other instruments.
Check with your quality policy or your safety officer regarding the type of Certification that is necessary for your assessment requirements.
The FREQUENCY OF CALIBRATION depends on the balance between risk and costs. The more often you have your gauge calibrated the lower the risk of inaccurate measurements.
Floyd Australia recommends having measuring instruments calibrated every six (6), twelve (12) or twenty four (24) months, of which is dependent on the frequency of use as well as the application but it is actually you who should decide how often you require your gauge to be calibrated. Check with you quality policy or your safety officer.
